Aquatic flora surveys were conducted in Oyster Harbour between 1998 and 2019. Surveys were initially conducted in 1988, 1996 and 2016 by the WA Government Department of Water (described by 2013 "Synthesis of seagrass mapping studies"), and again in 2019 by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation "Oyster Harbour Seagrass Survey - Cover (DWER-109)". Aquatic flora surveys of the Hardy Inlet were conducted from the top of Molloy Island and the Scott River Basin to the mouth of the Inlet. Surveys were initially conducted in 2008 by the WA Government Department of Water (described by 2013 "Synthesis of seagrass mapping studies"), and again in 2008 & 2020 by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation "Hardy Inlet Seagrass Survey - Cover (DWER-112)".
